  • Surprise! UK artist FKA twigs has released an EP today via Young Turks titled M3LL155X. According to a press release, the EP was made with collaborators Boots, tic and Cy An, and along with the videos below, are “an aggressive statement conceptualising the process of feeling pregnant with pain, birthing creativity and liberation.” Stream the entire release below, via YouTube.   • Electropop outfit YACHT have announced some new details about their follow up to last year’s Where Does the Disco? The new offering, called I Thought The Future Would Be Cooler, will have 11 songs and should drop on October 16. Below you can take a look at the lyric video for the album’s title track. [CoS]

  • Neon Indian, aka Alan Palomo, has released the first single from his upcoming album VEGA INTL. Night School (out October 16). “SLUMLORD” has the makings of a hit. It builds with a bright instrumental and cements itself into a real dance floor contender with a funky and catchy chorus. [Stereogum]

  • As part of Triple J’s Like A Version series, Foals have covered the Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) collaboration “Daffodils.” Their version has all the funk of the original with some extra sultriness from Yannis Philippakis’ vocals. [Pitchfork]
