- Dan Boeckner, whose many projects – Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs, Divine Fits – have all been favorites of KEXP listeners and DJs, has released a second song from the long awaited full-length debut of his current project, Operators. You have to wait until April 1st for Blue Wave to come out (on Last Gang Records), but you can listen to the title track right now.
- British dream pop outfit Fear of Men have shared “Island,” the lead single from their upcoming album Fall Forever. It’s a dreamy number that blossoms from Jessica Weiss’ ethereal vocals. Fall Forever drops in June. [Stereogum]
- Jack White will use showcase his musical talents on the season finale of ABC’s The Muppets tonight. He’ll appear as the musical guest on Miss Piggy’s talk show and his rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” will inspire Kermit to reunite with his estranged swine girlfriend.
